Stray Cat Blues Receives $60,000 Grant From PetSmart Charities® to Help More Cats & Kittens in Our Area
News release | For Immediate Release
Lansdale, PA — December 30, 2022 – Stray Cat Blues, Inc. has received a $60,000 grant from PetSmart Charities to assist in our local Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) efforts, incubators to assist with medical needs, and additional veterinary and medical supply needs.
With the funds we were able to invest $6,000 on new incubators and $5,000 on new trap equipment to best assist our community. These investments benefit community cats for years.
"We are honored to partner with PetSmart Charities and our local PetSmart stores," said Sussi Seybert, a member of the Board of Directors. "Their support enables us to help more cats and kittens in our communities — from medical emergencies, a new kitten litter, or the patience to trap an elusive injured cat. This award exemplifies their commitment to aiding cats and kittens within our area. “We adopted more than 1,100 cats into their fur-ever home in 2022 and Trapped, Neutered and Release (TNR) more than 360 cats. — A success made possible largely by PetSmart's invaluable support."
“Some five million animals find their way to shelters each year,” said Heidi Fulcher, Adoption Grants Manager at PetSmart Charities. “As an organization dedicated to promoting the human animal bond, we’re thrilled to support local partners like Stray Cat Blues, Inc. Together, we can help adoptable pets receive vital care, along with the best chance of finding loving homes — which builds healthier families and communities.”
