Volunteer of the Month: Jessica Buck
Please join us in celebrating Jessica Buck as our Volunteer of the Month for October!
Jessica joined our trapping team in 2021 and quickly became a force in the field. Her dedication to helping stray and feral cats through trap-neuter-return (TNR) is truly remarkable. She has provided countless feral cats with a safe haven, offering warmth, shelter, and much-needed medical care. Her garage has become a sanctuary, transformed into a well-organized triage station, reflecting her selflessness and devotion to community cats.
Jessica has coordinated numerous large-scale trapping efforts, ensuring that many cats receive the care they desperately need. Most impressively, she recently led a massive spay/neuter clinic with Main Street Vet, marking her second time organizing such a significant event.
Her contributions extend beyond trapping. In 2021, Jessica also joined the Grant team, and by 2022, she had stepped up as the team’s lead. Through her hard work, she has secured crucial funding for medical cases and other vital needs of the rescue. Her grant efforts have been instrumental in keeping Stray Cat Blues’ mission strong, making a difference in the lives of the cats we care for.
Jessica is an extraordinary volunteer who consistently goes above and beyond for both the cats and the team. We are incredibly grateful for all she does and are thrilled to have her as part of the Stray Cat Blues family. She is always there to answer calls for help, care for sick ferals, and support her fellow trappers with boundless positivity.
Jessica truly embodies the spirit and mission of Stray Cat Blues. Her contributions are a key factor in the success and resilience of our organization.
